Specimen Type: Abdominal,amniotic, ascites, bile, joint, paracentesis, pericardial, peritoneal, pleural, synovial, thoracentesis

Container/Tube: Sterile container

Specimen Volume: ≥1 mL

Specimen Minimum Volume: 1 mL
Collection Instructions:
1. Aseptically obtain fluid via percutaneous needle aspiration or surgery.

2. Transfer aspirated fluid to sterile container.

3 NEVER submit a swab dipped in fluid.
