Specimen Requirements
Specimen Type: Vaginal
Container/Tube: Sterile Swab from Kit
Specimen Volume: Entire specimen
Collection Instructions: The sample is collected by placing the swab into the vaginal cavity for 15 seconds. The swab is then mixed into a vial containing solvent solution and sent to the lab for testing.
Stability
Deliver to Lab within 60 minutes of collection. If sample storage is necessary, place in refrigerator for no more than 6 hours.
