Green microtainers are not ideal for this assay and should be used when a vacutainer cannot be obtained.

Sodium heparin and lithium heparin are both acceptable. Plasma separator tubes are acceptable.
For samples collected in a syringe remove the needle from syringe and cap sample immediately.
